Kate,
Thank you for a great time last week. Great diving. It was fun seeing the turtles, sting rays and all the fun fish. Carroll loved the diving and loves history & loved the Rhone.
We appreciated the cocktails and getting to see your new home/boat. It is the perfect home for both of you and your lifestyle. We loved it the way it is but know you many plans for it in the future. Thanks for everything,
Courtney July 20th 2009
Hi Kathryn,

Thanks for the great day of diving...

Hi Kate,
We are back at home now trying to recover. I'll send more pics but wanted to send this now.
I don't know if I thanked you for everything including the day Tony dropped equipment off to us.
I have to tell you the highlight of our trip was meeting and diving with you!
We would like to say if you and Tony are ever in this part of the world you are welcome to stay with us.
Curt Johnson May 4th 2009
THANKS FOR THE GREAT DIVE. WE ENJOYED OURSELVES, IT WAS NICE TO GET IN 2 DIVES AND BE BACK ON THE CRUISE SHIP BY 12:30. TELL DAWN THANKS AGAIN. DO YOU JUST WORK OUT OF TORTOLA OR ARE YOU ON OTHER ISLANDS TOO
JAY SOLORIO March 31st 2009
Kate Tony and Dawn,
Thanks so much for the wonderful diving experience my family are now all convinced that we have to come back and dive with you guy next year. Thanks so much again.
Paul, Louise, Sara and Joseph Johnson, June 2008
UBS Divers, we have dived all over the Caribbean and you are by far the most professional outfit that we have ever dived with. You made our vacation spectacular!
The Perterson Family, New York, New York. January 2008
Kate and Tony,
Once again your rendezvous service was perfect, the equipment in tip top condition and your expertise appreciated. You are still the only rendezvous service in the BVI that I would ever recommend.
Captain Clive Smith, London UK, November 9th 2007
Dawn,
Thank you for the special attention you gave to Alicia on her first resort course dive, she was very nervous and you made the whole experience full and safe. She is now going to study for her open water diver and we will see you when she is ready for the training dives!
Emily Daus, July 2007
Kate,
Thank you for taking us diving around Norman Island and The Rhone last week. We had a great time! Please pass our thanks to Tony and James as well. The certified divers had a blast with James and the resort divers and people getting checked out felt really comfortable and safe diving with Tony and you.Until next time.
Peter, March 14th 2006
We had some great dives, and did finally find wreck alley (saw u there). The Rhone was fantastic, should have done at least 2 dives on it. We should have followed Tony’s advice to do a rendezvous dive, and would very strongly recommend it to everyone. There is a lot to miss. Thanks for your efforts, couldn’t think of a better place to go than UBS. You made it happen! We expect to be back next year. Look forward to seein’ you again. Feel free to use my comments and compliments with the qualification that I am a very picky guy, and you both made the grade!
Craig Crosby - Crosby/Taves rental March 4th 2006
Kate & Tony,
Just wanted to say thanks for making our dive trip work out so well. No problem with the equipment, and the briefing by Tony was superb! Tony really seemed to care that we understood everything, had great suggestions, and made it very enjoyable. Quite a contrast to the “island attitude, mon” !
Kathryn, Robin and I wanted to let you know how much we appreciate your taking Sam and Dominic out for their first dives. They haven't stopped talking about the trip... the large snapper... the squid... and how much fun they had with you on that day. I had no idea that it would have made as great an impression on them as it did. Thanks for taking such good care of the boys and teaching them to respect our oceans. We'll hope these lessons get passed on.
Michael and Robin Fayetteville, Arkansas April 25 2006
Thank you so much for the dive today. We had a blast. We made it back on the ship with literally seconds to spare. We stepped on, and they pulled the gangway in after us. I've never cut it that close before! If you're ever in Texas, we have a freshwater dive sight about an hour away from us. The diving is absolutely spec....well, kind of poor, but the company is great. No seriously, peolple come from all over to dive Lake Travis. I guess its better than staying dry.....Thanks again, someday we'll be back for a longer stay. Thanks again!
Dawn and 'Sudafed' June 18th 2006
Just a note of thanks for all of your efforts valiant efforts to certify Steve as a PADI diver. We had a blast as did the newlyweds we brought along for the snorkle.
When we come back to Tortola, we will drive across the island just to hear your clever banter and pithy remarks. Oh yeah. And dive. Thanks again for two of the best days of our trip!
Kendall and Steve Flint July 25 2006
Just wanted to thank you all for the wonderful trip arranged for the Strangie and Curreri Family on Thursday April 21st with Scott as our guide and ‘snorkelmaster’ for the day. Scott, my kids, especially Christina, are still talking about the fun we had and the Magna Doodle you let her draw with all afternoon. We appreciated your taking the time to snorkel with us and show us the Caves, that was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done!! I know we certainly lucked out in booking our day trip with you. It was a day to be remembered by us all, I know our children went into school today to talk about Scott fishing coral out of the sea for them!!!
Kate- I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you, but just writing to let you know that
Amy and I had a blast.Even for a diver like myself who has been at it for about 10 years, it sure was nice to dive on 'my time' and 'choose the dives' and 'difficulty level' that I wanted and head back when I wanted. UBS certainly catered to our every whim. Tony was great, fun to be around, and very competent. The icing for us will be to see the pictures that Tony took. Please let me know when they have been uploaded to your web site so I can go looking for them. Thank You for a wonderful time and we will be diving with you again next time we come to Tortola.
Deighton & Amy April 26th 2005
It is hard believe we were diving with you just over a week ago! The trip was awesome and you guys really helped make it a trip to remember.Kathryn- we enjoyed the lunch and goodies very much and are looking forward to the tee shirts arriving here soon. Thank you for all your help.
Scott- Sue told us that when other divers were coming up to their boats they were all excited and shouting things like " that was great!" etc... But we were more subdued and she wondered if we enjoyed it as much as the others.
The fact is we were dumbfounded by how cool the dives were and it was only the next day when we were sharing our stories with Sue and Willie that our excitement begin to show. Even our dives in Cozumel could not compare. The Tugs were awesome! and the swim through on the Rhone was great. ( I only wish we could have taken some of those huge lobsters, That would have been a dinner to remember!) I am getting a real camera next week so next time we won't miss all the great photo ops. And Alec won't have to keep swimming up to 50' to wind the camera!
We hope to return the year after next and hopefully with William and Sue certified. Then its more diving less sightseeing! Thanks again for making our vacation the best ever!
John, Sue, Alec, Mattie and William Berntson May 6th 2005
UBS was a big factor in where I chose to have our honeymoon because we had
such a wonderful experience last time.
Brian August 28th 2005
back in the area next spring and hope we’ll be able to spend another beautiful day on one of your boats taking in all the beauty of the sea in the BVIs…
Thanks again to all at UBS Dive Center!!!
Elaine Curreri April 25th 2005
Hey, you guys! Just a quick note from dreary, rainy Vancouver to say hi and let you know that I really appreciated everyone's efforts on my behalf to turn me into some sort of a diver! (a particularly big thanks to James... the man has amazing patience!).Anyway- stay in touch, if for any reason you ever end up close to the westcoast of Canada (although I can't imagine why that would ever, on god's green earth, happen) I would love to be able to return the kindness you showed me and take you out on the town!
Trisha Pope February 2nd 2005
James could NOT have been any better. He was our favorite dive instructor ever, over the past 10 years. He was so patient, very professional, yet entertaining and fun. He was very observant, safe and thorough. He worked with my fiance on a advanced dive program and was very impressivie in his knowledge and teaching. You have a tremendous asset in him, and we thank you for his help
Peter Simpson July 25th 2005
Kathryn, Just a quick email to say thanks for the outstanding effort... I must admit to being a little nervous about using yourselves as you seemed to be the smallest / newest centre in the BVI according to the internet. My doubts were totally unjustified. We have dived all over the world but I have never before anywhere experienced the level of service provided by yourselves. Keep it up guys, hope to see you again soon. BVI Trip report Spent December in BVI diving with UBS Their operation is about 8 years old with Tony and Kate the owners. We were lucky enough to do about 8 days diving with Scott as our DM. For those of you familiar with the BVI Scott used to be the head DM at Baskin in the Sun. ( they stole him away about 6 months before Baskin went under and locals tell me his loss was almost impossible to replace) He is a very knowledgeable DM and a great host. UBS specializes in Rendezvous diving ( meeting Sail charters for a day of diving) and limits their boats to 6 people. Prices are reasonable and based on how many in your party as you will have the boat to yourself each day. They let you dive your own profile and based on your experience are quite willing to have you choose the days diving. A full day of two tanks starts at 9:30 with a dive in the morning followed by lunch either ashore or in the boat. A second dive is done in the aft. and you are back on the dock by 3:30. Sites range from Coral Gardens ( great corals and sponges with lots of coral heads to swim through and around) to the Wreck of the Rhone ( 1867 steamer in about 85 feet of water) Don't miss the Rhone its a great night dive and the Reef just around the corner from it is great. In all we dove about 16 different sites around about 80 ft each time. This is not the wall diving of the Caymans or the drift diving of Cozumel. Currents were not strong and swells not an issue. North side diving is not really possible most days during the winter due to waves but there is more than enough to keep you busy on the south side. UBS has freshwater rinses onboard and has a dip tank for cameras. I would not say that BVI is an extreme place to dive but rather a place where families and groups of varying skill levels can have a great time. Ashore there are more than enough watering holes to keep one occupied for many a day and the food was great. I would definitely recommend Brandywine restaurant in the east end as a must for any visitor. Say hi to Davide the owner and ask about his Grappa. ( Italian moonshine) We stayed in a house ashore http://mermaidvilla.com/ and loved it. Jan and Brad the owners are great people and in my opinion it is probably the best place to stay in the BVI. Just below is Long bay east a wonderful mile long "local" beach, which has very few people on it. Snorkeling on the north end of the beach (just below the house a 5 min walk) is good with lots of critters including spotted lobster, Jacks and the Odd tarpon. The turtle grass is a haven for lots of Stingrays and the odd spotted eagle ray. Trellis bay is home to a couple of great bars and eateries and a great place to go for the Full moon party. I found food to be about the same price or a little cheaper than Hawaii with booze decidedly cheaper at about $7.00 a bottle. It is for sure and alcoholics paradise. All in all a great place to visit. Locals are friendly if a bit shy at first. Make a point to begin each conversation with a good morning or How are you and it will make a big difference in how they react.

Tony & Kathryn, You guys are great. The professional attitude and friendly approach of Scott and James enhanced the memorable experience. I know we had some logistical challenges with the large group but you handled them with ease and flexibility. The dives were safe and fun. Laurie's bruised finger is healing well - don't under estimate medicinal rum. Hope to see you again soon. Expect to get some referrals from our group. Thanks.
Russ Feb 23rd 2005
I'm glad to see that this will be so easy. I am will confirm the dates as
soon as I finalize the honeymoon, which should be early this coming week. I
think we will want to dive 2 days, and I will also have to figure out our BC
sizes. We will have our own snorkels, fins, masks, and suits. Choosing our hunny moon destination was easy because we had such a great time diving with you last year. Tom and Mary Ohio January 19th 2005
I just wanted to thank Tony for a GREAT first dive experience on Nov 30th and Dec 1st. He was very nice in accommodating my nervous-ness during my first REAL dive and he didn't make me feel like the useless diver that I was ;-)
I would recommend you guys to everyone and I can't wait to dive with you again!!! THANK YOU!

The room's in Rhymer Beach Reset's were clean, but don't expect a whole
lot else out of the facility. (It is the Caribbean after all.) It does have an OK restaurant, but the market up the street is less expensive than the one on-site. Great beach in Cane Garden Bay.Good news, the bands at the resorts stop between 10pm and 11:30pm, so they don't interfere with sleep unless you go to bed really early

Driving on Tortola is pretty wild. The locals drop their calm attitude and
drive incredible fast on the very hilly island.
Kate and Tony run a fantastic dive operation. By offering "private boat" service, you get exactly the dive(s) and ambience that you want. Kate was our Instructor for 4 dives, and made sure a newbie in our group was prepared, comfortable, and watched over. By doing so, the others in the group could concentrate on their dives, and get the most out of them. UBS starts the dives a little later (9:30+), after most of the other dive boats, so the sites we went to were empty, so diving used up most of the day time, finishing around 4-4:30. Both Kate and Scott (Instructor on last two dives) made the dives better, showing us critters, etc. They also gave us some suggestions and help with things to do on our non-dive days.
Just wanted to let you know what a great time we had diving with you. You added a lot of spunk to our trip. Thank you for taking care of me. I will always remember your smiling eyes.
DeAnn Walker April 24th 2005
Thanks very much for the great service you guys provided for us last week.We loved it, as usual, and we look forward to diving with you again next year.
Congratulations on the new boat, it's beautiful.Special thanks to Scott for really making the diving easy and fun.Have a great year.

Tony, We thoroughly enjoyed the Wreck of the Rhone Dive you guided during our Christmas cruise. We appreciate you shifting your trips and schedule to accommodate our group. We shot fantastic video footage in High Definition. We have dove many places worldwide and never had the experience you provided. We had dove the Rhone before but your expertise, commentary and underwater site explanation made this dive a memorable experience! Your new boat is great and we are strongly recommending you company to all visiting BVI. Thanks once again for meeting our tight timetable.
Keith, Linda, Kurt, Jenny and West Walker. We hope to dive with you again.

I just wanted to thank you all for a wonderful diving experience with Scott in Tortola when we stopped there during our cruise. Since I had not dove in 12 years and my wife was doing her open water referrals, he had to be very patient with us and he was awesome. Our whole experience with your dive shop has been excellent. Your quick responses and return phone calls were truly the sign of a professional business. We don't know many people that visit Tortola, but believe me you will be highly recommended. Thank you very much and hope to visit again,

Just wanted to thank you and James for 3 great days of diving. We really enjoyed having the boat to ourselves and the special attention you gave us, especially those of us who hadn't been in the water in a while. You have spoiled us. Thanks again for making our vacation special. P.S. I love my underwater etch a sketch.

Just wanted to say thanks again for the great afternoon we spent with you last week. Can't wait to see the roll of film you took for us. We'll share some red lip pictures with you if they turn out well - possible additions to your website? We got the credit card fine, thanks for sending that over so quickly. Hello to Katherine. See you next time,
John & Eileen Siminger. July 26th 2004
PSS: I left the red lips in the pocket of the BC, so someone will get a surprise one of these days!
Hi Tony, Susan & I just wanted to say thanks again for orchestrating such a wonder three days of diving with the gang on Heath & Courtney's boat. We look forward to reviewing the pictures and swapping stories in a few weeks. Please tell Courtney and Heath that we arrived home as originally scheduled to find that Louisville was hammered by storms all week long. We are with out electricity and apparently have been for 5 days. We are not alone, there are as of Sunday 19,000 houses without electricity. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to meet your better half next time we drop in! Love your site, Thanks again and let us know when you want John and I to run your new boat as your latest dive masters!! Take care,
Robin, July 18th 2004
Tony, Kate, We had a great time the other day! Thanks so much for the dive. I will always suggest people use you folks! Regards,

Dear Katie, The boys and I made it back to California all in one piece. We picked up the certificates at the Moorings desk as promised. I wanted to thank you for the wonderful experience that you provided to my family and I. You have made a lasting and pleasant experience for the rest of your lives.
