UBS dive center is located at Harbour View Marine Center at the East End of Tortola in the beautiful British Virgin Islands, overlooking Fat Hog's Bay with views across the Sir Francis Drake Channel towards Cooper and Ginger Islands. We are five minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Cane Garden Bay, 10 minutes from Road Town and 35 minutes from West End .

We specialize in private, personalized, full-service dive/snorkel and island-hopping adventures. As we never mix groups on our boats, each trip is tailor-made exclusively for your group of family or friends on your own private boat. Many of our guests come back year after year to dive with us because they enjoy the difference. We offer Discover Scuba Diving experiences, Open Water Referral Dives, Advanced Open Water and Specialty courses at no extra charge - you just pay the boat charter fee and instruction is included.

Look at a chart of the BVI and you will see that we are virtually in the middle. Our location allows us quick and easy access to almost all of the 70+ established dive sites, and we even have some of our own 'secret' spots to take you to! So whether you are land-based or out on the water looking for rendezvous diving , we can take you wherever you want to to to make your dive adventure an unforgettable experience.

Does your group have varying interests? We can tailor-make your trip to keep everybody happy!

It is not uncommon to have a group with varying interests. Some may want to try scuba diving for the first time, some may be certified divers and some may be avid snorkelers, while others may just want to relax and admire the scenery! We can tailor-make your private full or half-day trip to include a bit of something for everyone.

Contact us to discuss how we might combine an introductory Discover Scuba Diving experience for those that aren't certified with a single or two-tank dive for those that are, and mix it all up with a little snorkeling, sightseeing and lunch along the way.

Please be aware when planning your dive trip that the Atlantic swell, which runs in late winter and spring, can affect diving at Virgin Gorda, all of the Dog Islands and sometimes Marina Cay. Call us for a weather report for the week of your sailing vacation for our recommendations.

Photographic Service

As of November 2009, all certified divers, snorkelers and day trippers who would like a personalized photo record of their day out with UBS can receive a photo montage taken with our Sea Life cameras from above and below the surface. We'll put your photos on disc and send them to your home address for just $50 (inclusive of disc and shipping costs). Or if you are starting your trip from the dive center, we will download them when you return so you can take them away with you, for just $40. They say a picture is equal to a thousand words - what better way to remember the best day of your vacation! Just let us know you are interested when you make your reservation.

Gratuities

Our instructors work very hard to give you the safest and most enjoyable experience out on the water. If you think they did a good job and would like to show your appreciation by leaving a gratuity, it is customary to tip 10-20% for dive services here in the BVI.
