Hi BVI Divers and Divers to be….
If you are receiving this email and you have not signed up for the Dive Club, or this is the first you have heard about it don’t worry this is not spam. One of your friends was at Trellis Bay on Thursday evening and gave me your email to include you in the start of the first Dive Club for BVI residents that we are starting. If you are not interested just reply to this email and I will remove you from future mailings.
This is just a short note to let those of you that were not present, and to confirm for those of you that were, some of the things we talked about on Thursday.
The premise of the dive club is for BVI residents to get low cost diving, snorkeling and day trips with UBS DIve Center. To get high quality dive service and training, meet other locals with the same interests have some great day trips and get together socially one evening a month.
This is what the dive club has agreed to so far:
 This is going to be fun! We are not going to allocate jobs or responsibilities to any members, (unless they want one)
UBS Dive Center, will allocate a dive boat as many times as month as the BVI Dive Club and or members want one, and there is at least four divers / day trippers,
UBS Dive Center will provide all diving instruction of all levels free.
UBS Dive Center will treat the BVI Dive Clubs day trips as a charter of the same quality as all our others. ( the best in the BVI) The dive boat will have on board complementary:
All dive and snorkel equipment
Sodas
Beer
Drinking Water
Towels
Cookies
All dives will be planned, briefed and guided by a UBS Instructor
UBS Dive Center and The Loose Mongoose will host ca Dive Club meeting on the 2nd day of every month at The Loose Mongoose..
The Loose Mongoose will provide happy hour priced drinks while the club is in session. ( 2nd day of the month at 5:30 pm at the Loose Mongoose)
UBS Dive Center will pay for the cost of the screen for the BVI Dive Club to get a t-shirt printed.
UBS Dive Center will be responsible for the organization of the printing of the t-shirt and the ordering and all costs associated with such.
UBS Dive Center and the Loose Mongoose and any one else who wants to can sell the BVI Dive Club shirts and all proceeds will go into a fund for a special occasion that will be decided on in the future, some ideas already were:
Go to St Croix to dive “The Wall”
Have a big party, to eat and drink the proceeds together!.
T here will be a $25 yearly fee to join the club, Due on the 2nd of July yearly.
All members must live in the BVI for at least part of the year. Dive prices will be;
$60 per day per diver / day tripper, ( minimum of four persons)
UBS Dive Center will keep a current list of all members and will inform every one of the dive dates that have been agreed on for the next month.If there is at any time a UBS mixed group going out and there is a space BVI Dive Club members will have the opportunity to join the group at BVI Dive Club rates.

* All potential members are asked to think of any designs for the t-shirts so we can get going on the printing of them.
The more people we get to join the club, the more chances we will have of filling a boat so we can get to go diving and have a day trip. It will also make our social meeting nights more fun, so if any of you know of anyone in the BVI who may like to join us, just send on this email, or you can drop me a line with their address and I will do it.
